1. INTRODUCTION

At https://www.hausatelier.com.sg/, we respect your confidential personal data and we are committed to protecting it.

This Privacy Policy sets out the basis which Haus Atelier and its related companies (“Haus Atelier” or “we”) may collect, disclose, use, or otherwise process the personal data collected about you via https://www.hausatelier.com.sg/ (the “Website”) in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012, any regulations enacted thereunder and any guidelines that may be issued from time to time by the Personal Data Protection Commission (collectively, the “PDPA”).

By using the Website and any Services offered via the Website, you hereby accept our terms and conditions, and consent to the collection and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


2. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We provide interior design, design and build services as well as renovation services (the "Services"). In order for us to render the Services, it is necessary for us to collect and use certain personal data. The personal data we collect, use, disclose and/or process may include,

(a) Contact and Identity-related Data: Your name, NRIC, age, address(es), details of your property(ies), email address, telephone number;

(b) Usage Data: Information about how you use our Website (including the time you visit our Website, the duration of your visit, the types of products and/or services you are searching for and/or how you are searching for such products and/or services);

(c) Marketing and Communications Data: Feedback, comments, quizzes, pictures and discussions in our blog and chat boxes, responses to user surveys and polls, your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties, and your communication preferences. We also collect your chat and call records when you communicate with our Project Team through the Website;

(d) Technical Data: Your Internet Protocol address, the internet device identity or media access control address of your device, information regarding the manufacturer, model or operating system of the device that you use and/or information about the web browser that you use to access our Website.

We may collect your personal data:

(a) Directly from you: You may give us your Contact and Identity-related Data when you do any of the following (whether on your own behalf or on behalf of your organisation):

i. use our Website;
ii. enter into a contract with us for the provision of Services;
iii. apply for or enquire about our Website or Services;
iv. subscribe to our newsletters or alerts; or
v. contact us -- for example, if you get in touch to give us some feedback.

(b) From your authorised representatives. We may also collect your personal data from your authorised representatives. These include persons whom you have authorised and persons who have been validly identified as acting on your behalf pursuant to our internal policies.

(c) When you interact with our Website. As you interact with our Website, we may automatically collect your Technical Data. We may also receive Technical Data about you if you visit other websites that employ our cookies.

(d) Third parties or publicly available sources. We may receive your personal data from other third party(ies). These include:

i. Technical Data from analytics providers such as Google, advertising networks and social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook; and
ii. Identity and profile-related data from publicly available sources; and
iii. Where applicable, your personal data from providers of technical, payment and delivery services.


3. USE OF PERSONAL DATA

We use the personal data that we collect from you to:

(a) provide information;

(b) verify your identity;

(c) contact you via email, mail, SMS or phone, to fulfil your requests;

(d) answer your enquiries or provide a quotation;

(e) to onboard you as a customer and manage our relationship with you;

(f) render and deliver our Services and works to you;

(g) identify personal preferences and match your needs with relevant products and Services;

(h) contact and send you information about our products and services, events or promotions;

(i) obtain your views or comments on the Services we provide; and

(j) where applicable, for any purposes in connection with the performance of our Services, to contact you in relation to the above or any such purposes which might be legally required of us.


4. DISCLOSURE AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

We understand and value the importance of privacy and will protect your personal data while it is in our care. We do not trade, sell, rent or share crucial personal data to any third party(ies) without your expressed permission, except to the extent with your prior consent to allow third party(ies) vendors, consultants or contractors to provide you with further information or any further or additional services, to obtain or apply on your behalf for the requisite consents, permits, licenses waivers or authorisations from the requisite Singapore government authority(ies), or that is necessary to comply with any directive, law, rules, scheme or regulation from any such Singapore government regulators, statutory bodies or authority(ies) or Singapore law enforcement agencies or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant, or to any other party(ies) to whom you authorize us to disclose your personal data. Where we disclose your personal data to third party(ies) with your consent, we will employ our best efforts to require such party(ies) to protect your personal data.

You agree and acknowledge that we may share data without your consent when it is required by law or by any court or government agency or authority to disclose such information. Such disclosures are made in good faith and belief that it is reasonably necessary to do so for enforcing this Privacy Policy or in order to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

We may share your personal data with third party(ies) set out below for the purposes set out in Section 4 (Disclosure and Processing of Personal Data):

(a) Internal third parties, which are other companies within the Haus Atelier group of companies.

(b) External third parties such as:

i. trusted third parties such as our vendors, consultants and contractors that provide services for us or on our behalf. This includes hosting and operating our Website, providing marketing assistance, conducting our business, processing payments and transaction-related processes, transmitting content, and enabling us to provide the Services to our end-users or customers;
ii. analytic service providers and advertising networks that conduct web analytics to help us improve our Website and Services. These analytics providers may use cookies and other software technologies to perform their services; and
iii. regulators and other bodies, as required by law or regulation.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.


5. MARKETING AND UPDATES

You may receive periodic mailings, updates, calls, e-mails, messages or faxes from us with information or resources about or in connection with our Services, as well as upcoming events. We will always obtain your consent to direct marketing communications where we are required to do so by law and if we intend to disclose your personal data to any third party for such marketing.

6. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate measures to secure all storage and transmission of personal data by us and disclosing personal data both internally and to authorized third party(ies) only on a need-to-know basis.

However, as no method of transmission over the Internet, or electronic storage is completely secure, we are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures to ensure your personal data is protected.

8. COOKIES

We use cookies or similar technologies to provide visitors with a personalised experience on our Website, as well as for marketing purposes. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to the memory or hard drive of a visitor’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies and may partner with third party(ies) software, technology or advertisement networks to make improvements and to better tailor our Website to our visitors’ needs, as well as to improve and analyse your experience on our Website. In addition to reporting site usage, data collected may also be used with the cookies to help show more relevant advertisements to our visitors, as well as to measure interactions with the advertisements we show. We may use this information to verify that visitors meet the criteria required to process their requests.

These sites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We have no control over the contents and make no representation as to the accuracy or any other aspect of information contained in other websites, nor are we responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.


10. ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA

If you wish to access a copy of your personal data, or alternatively the details about the ways in which your personal data is used and/or disclosed, you may submit a request (“Access Request”) in writing via email to our Data Protection Officer.

We will respond to your Access Request as soon as we can, but in any case no later than 30 days from the day our Data Protection Officer receives your Access Request. If we are unable to accede to your Access Request, we will inform you of the reasons why unless we are not required to do so under the PDPA. Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an Access Request. We will inform you of the fee before processing your Access Request.


11. STORAGE OR RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We may retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.

We will cease to retain your personal data or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

We will also put in place measures such that your personal data in our possession or under our control is destroyed and/or anonymized as soon as it is reasonable to assume that (i) the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such personal data, and (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any such legal or other business purposes.


12. UPDATING PERSONAL DATA

We rely on the personal data that you have provided to render our Services to you. In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, you may simply log into your registered account and make the relevant changes. If you no longer desire our service, you may request for your personal data to be removed by emailing us at hello@hausatelier.com.sg.


13. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

If you wish to withdraw your consent to our collection of your personal data, you must inform our Data Protection Officer in writing by email at hello@hausatelier.com.sg (“Email Notification”). No other method of withdrawal of consent will be accepted as a valid notification of our Data Protection Officer.

Upon receipt of your Email Notification, we will require 14 days for your request to be processed. Please note that withdrawing your consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws, rules or regulations.

14. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE SINGAPORE

We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore unless specifically instructed by you and/or where necessary in the course of the provision of our Services.

Where we transfer your personal data outside Singapore, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.


15. EFFECT OF PRIVACY POLICY AND CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies in conjunction with any other terms and conditions, notices, contractual or consent clauses that apply in relation to your personal data.

As part of our efforts to ensure that we properly manage, protect and process your personal data, we will be reviewing our policies, procedures and processes from time to time, and may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time without any prior notice. You may determine if any such revision has taken place by referring to the date on which this Privacy Policy was last updated. Your continued use of our Services constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of such changes.
